Campaign Launch: #UnityOverFear
During this challenging time, AustralIa’s great social cohesion is more important than ever. Yet Asian Australians are being abused just because of the way they look. Please join us and sign this petition, as we call for national unity and fairness. This is a time for all Australians to come together.
On 8 April, 16 prominent Asian Australians released an open letter calling for national unity during the corona pandemic. Now is the time for all Australians to get behind and involved in this initiative.
As we confront the COVID-19 pandemic, national unity across business and society is critical to our defence and recovery. The recent rise of racial abuse and vilification of Asian Australians poses a threat to that unity. We stand for reasonable debate and the promotion of social cohesion at a time of crisis. To allow abuse of any group to occur in our current crisis, jeopardises our social cohesion at the time when we need it most. This is a time for all Australians to come together.
